Jan 14th Fundraiser Update

The first week of the second fundraiser has nearly passed and there’s a lot going on.

My buddy Sean Ahrens did something very cool and created a dedicated page for the film on his data tracking IBD support website Crohnology.com.

Crohnology Cause Page
Crohonlogy.com featured WANTED: Crohn’s End as its first cause.

I know that Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) are worldwide, but I was still surprised to see all of the different countries people are located in.

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Germany
  • Israel
  • Italy
  • Jordan
  • Romania
  • South Africa
  • United States

Also on Crohnology.com I posted an article about some of the controversial treatments I’ve come across while producing the film.

This morning (Jan 14th) SCD Lifestyle posted my blog article about the 5-R Framework that I think can help give people the structure needed to select appropriate treatments for their IBD.

SCD Lifestyle features the 5-R Framework.

SCD Lifestyle has a large audience and they definitely helped the contributions to spike a bit today.

The fundraiser now sits at $1,935 as I write. Tomorrow is Jan 15th and at 11:59p PST is the deadline for contributing in order to get a sneak peak 10 minute look at the documentary. After that time, if you contribute you will not be able to see the 10 minute work in progress from the film. It’s a fist-week opening directors-cut limited-edition special enhanced…awesome… deal!

We’re nearly 7 days through and I feel like comparing between my first Kickstarter fundraiser and this current one.

After 7 days:

  • Kickstarter fundraiser had 6 backers, $265, 2%
  • 46 days left
  • Indiegogo fundraiser had 36 backers, $1,920, 6%
  • 32 days left

With 32 days left in Kickstarter fundraiser, I had $2,561, 20 backers, and 20% raised of my $10,550 goal.

Thanks a million for all of the support, emails, comments, thoughts, and contributions. More updates soon!
