Seeking Graphic Design and Animation Help

Posted on Posted in Production Notes

I am seeking a skilled graphic designer and animator to help me improve the visual look of my animated sequences in my documentary, WANTED: Crohn’s End. The documentary is about empowered patients with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis who use controversial alternative treatments when nothing else works.

See an old trailer of it below.

The movie has been in production for about 5 years and it nearing completion for release in Fall 2015.

I am using Adobe Premiere and After Effects to edit the movie. It is currently about 1 hour and 30 minutes long. There are at least 21 animated parts totaling 13 minutes and 4 seconds. All of them have rough animations that need to be replaced with more professional and aesthetically pleasing ones.

Most of the animations depict the intestines, others are info graphics pieces.

  • 2D graphic design, using Adobe software such as Photoshop, or Illustrator
  • 2D animation, using Adobe After Effects
  • Team player

    Hi Reid,
I just found your site today (commented on another post) and thought I’d pass along what I may be able to do to help you in your film-making process.

I am a professional voice-over artist. I’ve been doing them for years, mostly out of Madison, WI. I’ve done local, regional, and even national spots. I mostly get called for hospital, healthcare or health insurance spots. (!) I have a calm, gentle voice, like a caring mom. It’s actually a type – “caring mom” voice. But I also can do very direct, straight, ironic, and characters also. If you have a need for any voice over work for the film, I’d be happy to volunteer my time and voice.

    • Karen! Somehow this ended up in my spam folder and I didn’t see it until now. Would love to see if we can work together. I’ll shoot an email.

Have you found someone to do the animation?

    • I have not. Do you have an interest in it? I’d love to see some work samples. I’ll shoot you an email!
