When Sean Ahrens isn’t hoping over fences, pretending to be a secret agent on a mission to find the nearest bathroom, he’s programming a website called Crohnology.com that he hopes will lead to discovering the cure for his inflammatory bowel disease.

It's funny how the world works sometimes...
My psyche listens better than my ears.
My body speaks louder than my voice.
It is clear now that no amount of using diet and supplements will completely heal me if I ignore the toll stress puts on my body. It's been a stressful day and despite all my efforts I had some diarrhea just now and I need to leave for tonight's event. I must be ready to begin this new psyche healing because I no longer feel stress. I'll leave and whatever happens will happen.
It's unfortunate it's taken so long for me to hear what my body has been saying all these years, but like a master guru, it has never ending patience for it knows the student will eventually come around when the time is right. That time is now.
Synchronistically (new word invented), tonight's event is about GAPS and the brain-gut connection. I've toyed with healing the psyche, using Emotional Freedom Techniques, but I need to be more serious about it.
I just need to know where to start.
How do I find peace within myself when there is little peace outside myself?
In less than 8 hours, at 12am PST or 3AM EST Dec. 8th the fundraiser on Kickstarter.com for my documentary will end. It will end having met and exceeded my goals! In two months we raised at least $10,940!

My mom has a great sense of humor. She sent me this comic below and I think my IBD friends will get a kick out of it. Click on it to see the full image and the punch line.
It’s been one week since I launched the Kickstarter fundraising campaign on Oct. 17th, 2010 for WANTED: Crohn’s End and so far we’ve raised $310.00 out of the total $10,550.00 that we must at least reach. If we are to receive any money at all, we can’t raise any less than $10,550. If we raise more, we get to keep that, minus the fees.

Hey all, Reid here. I invited Meghan to do a blog post because we're doing similar things these days and I wanted to cross promote our causes to our audiences. Additionally, the blog post she writes below her intro is something that I think will speak to a lot of us with Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis. Here's Meghan...

Our Kickstarter fundraising campaign is now active. We need to raise at least $10,550 by December 8, 2010 or we receive zero, nada, zip! Please visit, we'd greatly appreciate your support.
If you'd like to help promote the campaign there is a widget you can put on your website, blog or social networking site by copying and pasting this code:
It will look exactly like the widget I have embedded in the lefthand sidebar. Lastly, a short URL to share with friends and family is http://bit.ly/kickcrohns.
Thanks for all of your support so far!
I can't express how excited I am to be opening the doors on this website for my new documentary, WANTED: Crohn's End. Both Daniel and I have been working hard on making this a website for people who want to learn more about the documentary. We'll blog about how the production is going, our thoughts and feelings about it. We'll also blog about Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, conventional and alternative healthcare.
The site will include research we are collecting on Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis, their conventional and alternative treatments. Ultimately, we hope this information will help people with Crohn's or UC to overcome their disease.
This week has been difficult for several friends of mine. They all have Crohn's disease and they are all dealing with unimaginable amounts of pain from bowel obstructions. Two of them have surgery scheduled for this August and a third is reviewing their options.
I dedicate this documentary to the bravest fucking people on this planet. Through all the bullshit people with Crohn's and Colitis deal with on a daily basis, they soldier on. Sometimes even with a smile on their face and faith that tomorrow will be a better day. That tomorrow will provide new answers and options for healing.
Let tomorrow come. Let tomorrow be today. Welcome to WANTED: Crohn's End.
