Water Therapy – Benefits of Water Therapy [22Jan07]
Nov 2nd
Has anyone with IBD, or IBS tried this? Might be worth a shot.
What is Water Therapy & how to do it?
Early morning, after you get up from bed, (without even brushing your teeth) drink 1.50 liters of water i.e. 5 to 6 glasses. You may wash your face thereafter. This is called water therapy.
Here it is very essential to note that nothing else, neither drinks nor solid food of any sort should be taken within 1 hour before and after drinking these 1.5 liters of water. It is also to be strictly observed that no alcoholic drinks shall be taken the previous night.
If required, boiled and filtered water may be used for this purpose. Is it possible to drink 1.50 liters of water at one time? To begin with, one may find it difficult to drink 1.50 liters of water at one time, but one will get used to it gradually.
Initially, while practicing you may drink four glasses first and then the balance two glasses after a gap of 2 minutes. Initially you may find the necessity to urinate 2-3 times within an hour, but it will become normal after quite some time.
Benefits of Water Therapy
Relief from stress, weight loss, glowing skin, feeling fresh and energetic throughout the day and good digestion are some of the major benefits of
water therapy. Have a look at some of the comments below made by people after trying water therapy.
1. Ever since I started this water therapy, I have noticed a glow on my skin, my eyes sparkle, and I feel so clean and so beautiful. I noticed that I always have a bowel movement after my water therapy and my constipation is gone.
2. Water therapy is just amazing! Though I have to urinate a lot of times in an hour but it makes sense. It makes me feel so good. Thanks to this water therapy. Thank GOD for giving us the water to drink.
3. Water therapy is really wonderfully beneficial. So much that people who have not practiced this can’t even imagine. It makes your body thoroughly clean and pure from inside and outside. I recommend that everybody should start practicing water therapy to keep tremendously fit and disease free.
WANTED: Crohn’s End – 17 Backers on Kickstarter, Please #help us. Thanks! [01Nov10]

When all else fails, listen to your gut. Every dollar brings us closer toward actualizing this production.

I have Crohn’s disease.
WANTED: Crohn’s End
documentary about people with Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis who use alternatives when nothing else is working. They have listened to their gut and took a proactive approach to ending their disease.
- Document stories of triumph over the disease.
- Create more awareness for safer, cheaper, more effective alternative treatments.
- Change how Crohn’s and Colitis are treated by conventional healthcare so we have more cases of triumph than suffering.
- Spark a national movement emphasizing patient’s right to be made aware of and to choose from all available treatments.
Some of these alternatives are controversial and even illegal. For people to receive Helminthic Therapy, they must travel outside of the US because the FDA has not approved them for use and banned the sale of them. Colloidal Silver has the reputation of easily turning people blue, despite this risk being lower than getting into a car accident. THC Oil, which naturally comes from the Marijuana plant is illegal in the US and Canada. Raw milk, another alternative many with Crohn’s have found essential to their health is difficult to get in the US and banned in all of the Canada.
We’ve got a growing fan base on Twitter and Facebook. We seek to continue to grow this community so we can spread awareness about these diseases, alternative treatments and the documentary.
The more we raise together, the better this film will become and ultimately, the more likely people will overcome their Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative Colitis. Not only would your support mean a great deal to me, but it would mean the world to millions of others with these two diseases.

Stay Sick – The Pharmacutical Industry and the Business of Health [26Oct10]
Oct 26th
The pharmaceutical industry is not a naturally grown health industry, but an artificially created investment business based on the deceptive promise to deliver health. The marketplace of the pharmaceutical industry is your body – but only as long as it is sick. Prevention, root cause treatment and, above all, eradication of diseases decrease or destroy the pharmaceutical markets and are, therefore, not in the interest of this industry. The great majority of pharmaceutical drugs have no proven efficacy and are merely symptom oriented. The basis of the enormous profits of this industry is not effectively fighting diseases, but the patent royalties of newly synthesized molecules unknown to the human body. Because most pharmaceutical drugs are synthetic molecules, they are toxic to the human body and frequently cause serious side effects, new diseases or even death. To hide this global deception scheme, the pharmaceutical industry spends more money to disguise its deceptive business scheme than for research. This money is used for thorough advertising, lobbying and other measures. Vitamins and other natural health therapies are threatening the very basis of the pharmaceutical business for two reasons: First, they prevent or treat the root cause of today’s most common diseases. Second, they are generally not patent-able and therefore have low profit margins. Natural health therapies and the pharmaceutical “business with disease” are incompatible and cannot coexist. The precondition for the long-term prosperity of the pharmaceutical industry is the elimination of natural therapies.

Hype against Healing – British schoolboy exposes phony drug through Twitter [19Oct10]
Oct 18th
I know Rhys Morgan is a bright 15 year old kid w/brains, but I’ve met someone who has healed their cancer w/ MMS (yeah, I know, “OMG it’s bleach”), and I wouldn’t be surprised if it helped others with #crohns in their journey of #healing. Maybe we shouldn’t leap so quickly onto stories which we think are interesting without examining all sides. it’s bad #journalism as usual, upholding the seemingly ‘expected’ in favor of upholding collective illusions which produce more dis-ease than #healing. I hope the brains of this young man will be put to better uses, instead of standing up for what we think we already know. We are missing a lot of the facts and the toxicity levels of certain mainstream medications are blown off as regrettable side effects. Anyhoo, anybody get results with this stuff? *supershrug*
A 15-year-old teenager from Wales has prompted a global Internet campaign against a phony “miracle drug” after posting warnings about it on the social networking website Twitter.
“I found out about it while browsing a support forum for Crohn’s disease, which I was diagnosed with earlier this year,” Morgan told AFP.
Morgan’s search led him to a website run by the drug’s apparent creator Jim Humble claiming that MMS was “the answer to AIDS, hepatitis A, B and C, malaria, herpes, TB, most cancers and many more of mankind’s worse diseases”.
The website also claims that MMS has been tested on over 75,000 people in Africa and that Humble has personally treated over 2,000 malaria victims with the drug.
Beware Meat – Eating animal protein raises risk of IBD [12Oct10]
Oct 12th
FYI – try being a carnivore less and being a vegetarian more.
(NaturalNews) A diet high in protein increases women’s risk of the cluster of conditions known collectively as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), according to a study conducted by researchers from the Center Hospitalier Universitaire de Bicetre in Paris an published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology.
“Our results may help better understand the role of diet in IBD risk,” the researchers wrote. “If confirmed, they can lead to protective strategies, especially in families at risk of IBD, and possibly to advice for preventing relapse.”
The researchers followed more than 67,000 women between the ages of 40 and 65 for an average of 10 years, during which time 77 participants developed IBD. The researchers then analyzed all participants’ dietary patterns for a potential link with the disease.
They found that women who consumed the highest amount of protein had were more three times as likely to developing IBD as other women.
by protein type, they found that animal flesh, including fish, was responsible for the greatest risk increase.
the researchers hypothesized that meat consumption may produce toxic “end products” that can damage the digestive tract, such as ammonia or hydrogen sulfide. Another possibility is that a diet high in protein may alter the natural balance of beneficial bacteria in the colon.
Another recent study found that a diet high in omega-6 fatty acids was associated with a higher risk of the disease, while a diet high in omega-3s was associated with a lower risk.

Lesser Known Medication – Use of sirolimus (rapamycin) to treat refractory Crohn’s disease [18May08]
Oct 12th
It is also known as the Easter Island drug because it is extracted from the soil there. My doctor told me it is “more toxic” than Imuran and isn’t typically prescribed for Crohn’s disease. It does have longevity benefits; adding to the lifespan of mice by 30%.
Abstract
We present the case of a 37-year-old woman with severe refractory colonic and perianal Crohn’s disease who had lost response to second-line, steroid-sparing treatments azathioprine, methotrexate and infliximab. For many such patients extensive surgery has often been considered the only option. New insights provided by the results of genome-wide association scanning in Crohn’s disease highlight autophagy, a cellular process implicated in the clearance of intracellular bacteria, as a key process in Crohn’s disease pathogeneses. Sirolimus (rapamycin) is a drug used to upregulate autophagy in cell culture in the laboratory, and in clinical practice to prevent rejection following organ transplantation due to independent immunosuppressive action. Our patient was treated with sirolimus for 6 months at a dose that maintained serum trough levels of 5 ng/ml. There was marked and sustained improvement in Crohn’s disease symptoms with the Harvey–Bradshaw index falling from 13 to 3, in serum markers of inflammation (C-reactive protein fell from 79 to 2) and endoscopic appearance. This is the first reported case of the use of sirolimus to treat Crohn’s disease.
Victory – Is There a Cure for Autoimmune Disease? [10Oct10]

via @reidkimball
Two months after I first saw Isabel and discovered and treated the underlying causes of her inflammation–after, as she says she, “stopped eating gluten, dairy, and sugar and took some supplements” she was symptom free. In less than a year, she was completely healthy, her blood tests were normal, and she was off all her medication.
